Shipping, Handling & Applicable Tax Information

Shipping, handling and applicable taxes are calculated based on the item total and shipping destination, and are included in the "Shipping, Handling and Applicable Taxes" charge. This charge is a reimbursement for costs Blue Nile incurs when shipping your orders to Canada. Costs include shipping fees paid to carriers as well as federal and provincial taxes paid on your behalf when your shipment is imported into Canada. For shipments to certain postal codes including, but not limited to, those in the province of Saskatchewan and the cities of Hull, Quebec and Hawkesbury, Ontario, the recipient will be required to remit PST to their respective taxing authority. The shipping, handling and applicable taxes charge will not appear in the shopping cart until after you have entered a shipping destination. Shipping to Alternate Addresses

If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address. As a security precaution, please contact your credit card company and add the alternate address to your records. This step helps protect you from fraudulent charges to your credit card. If you would like to arrange delivery to a FedEx location call one of our customer service agents at 888-565-7609. Please note that we do not ship to United States addresses from our Canadian site. If you wish to ship an item to the United States, please change your shipping destination here.

Shipping to APO & FPO Addresses

Because APO & FPO orders must be processed through the military postal service, it may take your package a bit more time to arrive. Blue Nile ships all APO & FPO orders via USPS Priority Mail and guarantees your package will arrive at the appropriate APO/FPO processing centre within 2-4 days. From that point on, we depend on the military postal service to deliver the package to you in a timely manner. We cannot provide a tracking number or specific delivery date. If you are already familiar with sending packages to APO & FPO addresses, you can probably expect your Blue Nile order to arrive in about the same amount of time.

Secure, Insured Shipments

We fully insure each order all the way to you. That means that when your order is in transit to you, shipment is always risk-free. For added security, it is our policy that a signature is required for all Blue Nile orders, regardless of any signature waivers you may have with FedEx. We urge all customers to inspect your package for damage or tampering before receiving or signing for receipt.

Since jewellery is often given for engagement or another special occasion, we will be extremely flexible to help you create a wonderful surprise. We can expedite your delivery for a fast-approaching special occasion, or we can ship your order to an address other than your home to help you maintain your surprise.
